Can I drive!

Alex and Aubrey loved riding in Grammie's golf cart. They liked "driving" it around. I have to admit that I enjoy driving it around too. Kinda fun. It was nice just to hop on and go with no car seats to buckle up.  Hip hip hooray!

The only downfall was that Alex had figured out how to undo the brake, so that was a little scary.   He is only three, he can't drive yet!

Walking sticks

In January, we took a hike and the kids found sticks and pretended they were walking sticks like Grammie's. Ken, a neighbor of my Mom's in Florida, heard the story and decided to make these awesome walking sticks for Alex and Aubrey. We took a walk around my Mom's neighborhood to check them out. Thank you, Ken!

My Brother

While we were in Florida I got to see my brother Paul. He helped us pose for this picture!

While we were in Florida, they had a cold front come through. It did get a little chilly and really windy. We were wishing we had taken our winter jackets. However, we didn't have our heavy jackets, so we opted to run around a park. I had found recommendations for a neat park near my Mom's house, so we decided to check it out. Alex and Aubrey had a nice time playing on the playground. We are going to have to remember this park for the next time we are visiting.




This park also had this funky slide.  I have to admit that it was a fun slide to go down.  Aubrey loved it.  But I also have to admit that it was a tiny bit scary.  The ironic thing about this slide is that I just got an email today from the Consumer Products Safety Commision that said the slide had been voluntarily recalled due to injuries.  I am glad that Aubrey stayed safe on it and glad she had fun while she could.

Mummers in Florida

My Mom (Grammie) has joined the Mummers Band down in Florida. She gets all dressed up and has a great time. My Mom's friend Donna is also a Mummer with the band.  While we were visiting, we had the chance to see the Mummers and the band perform.  The kids had fun dancing to the music and watchig their silly Grammie.

Trip to Florida to visit Grammie

Last weekend, we took a trip to visit my Mom in the warm state of Florida. We flew down on a Thursday and flew back on Monday. Our flights went well both there and back so that made the trip even better. On Friday, we went to the beach and played in the sand and the water. Alex and Aubrey loved it. I think Dave had some fun in the sand too.

Baby Olivia

Last weekend, I flew up to Michigan and had the pleasure of meeting my new niece, Olivia Lauren, who was born January 12th. She is the beautiful daughter of my sister, Kendra and Rob. It was great to meet her and see just what a blessing she is. My Mom and sister Andrea were also there for the weekend.
