Turning 40
Back in November I turned the big 40. I had a wonderful birthday with the four of us.
Dave made a delicious pumpkin cream pie to celebrate. When we were growing up in my family, we always had to hold up our hands for how old we were. I am so glad we did it because now I can look at old pictures and see how old we were. The tradition continues.
(by the way... I am not sure what Google is doing to my shirt in this picture....the stripes are supposed to go across and not wiggly. I tried to upload it multiple times and they turned squiggly. Ugh.)
Cub Scout Fall Camping
Back in the middle of November, Alex and Dave went out on a Cub Scout camping weekend. It was a really cold weekend, so just Dave and Alex went this time. In fact, they only stayed one night instead of two because of the cold weather. Aubrey and I stayed home and went to the neighborhood chili cookoff. All of us had fun.
Here are some pictures from Dave's and Alex's adventures camping in November.
Halloween 2014
Halloween week started with pumpkin carving with Dave.
On Halloween night, Aubrey wanted to be a nice witch and Alex wanted a mummy. They loved their costumes and had fun trick or treating in our new neighborhood. Our new neighborhood has a Halloween potluck gathering and then everyone heads on out. We enjoyed it all. We were also glad that Dave's Mom was able to join us. She helped us by handing out the candy at our house for us.

School Campout
While I was up in Michigan meeting my new niece Johnna, Dave took the kids to our elementary school's overnight campout. He put up our smaller tent and camped out with the kids. Alex and Aubrey had a great time going on a nature hike, dancing, and roasting marshmallows on Friday night.
Then after a restful sleep....
....the kids ate a quick breakfast, took down the tent and went fishing. They didn't catch anything, but they sure had fun during the attempt.
Johnna's Baptism
While I was up in Michigan in October, I attended Johnna's Baptism. I am so glad that I was able to attend and see this precious moment.

Meeting Johnna
In mid October, I took a trip by myself to Michigan to meet my new niece, Johnna. What a beautiful little baby she is. She has two wonderful parents, Kendra and Rob and an extra sweet sister, Olivia.
