The tree must come down
Post from Dave -
We had a pine tree in our back yard that was growing toward the house; in that we had had another one just like it fall last year in a snow storm, we thought it might be prudent to take this one down before it caused a problem...besides Aubrey's room was the closest to the tree and we wouldn't want the princess to awake with pine needles in her hair. : )
We had Jamison and Alex helping with the limbs and other things.
Finally I climbed way to the top of the ladder and topped the tree and by luck it landed where I wanted it to and no propery or person was hurt. (Neala was very happy about this)
(Note that Alex was not standing there when the top of the tree came down. Neala made sure he was an extremely safe distance away.)
Back on the ground I felt safe!
It is but a stump now but we all feel much better. Neala is barking orders to me for the next project!

Day Adventure
We are so glad that Jessica and Jamison are here to visit with us. Now all seven of us are together again. I just wish we all lived closer and could get together more often.
We decided to check out Busch Gardens Williamsburg for the day while they were here. Alex and Aubrey enjoyed all the kid rides. Marissa, Jessica, and Jamison had a great time on the roller coasters. Dave and I took turns with both groups.
This trip made me realize even more how much I enjoy doing these adventures with all the kids whether they are the older 3 or Alex and Aubrey. It is just great to see the excitement on their faces. I could have gone all day without riding a coaster and still would have had a blast.

Aubrey didn't want anything to do with the characters we saw at the Sesame area of the park. However, she did like to stand next to the cut out of her favorite Sesame character, Ernie.
4th Birthday
On Alex and Aubrey's Fourth Birthday, we had a great celebration with our sitter's family on April 27th. She made a delicious dinner for us and a cute cake.
Then on their birthday, Saturday, April 28th, we celebrated with the neighborhood kids and their parents. Dave put together some great games. The kids had a lot of fun. Here are some pictures.

After the games, we had birthday cupcakes and ice cream. Aubrey had princess cupcakes and Alex had dinosaur ones. Of course, they had to wear their birthday hats. I am surprised they still fit. But I am glad they do. They have had them since they turned 1 year old. I just keep changing the number on the hat.
