New Chairs

The other week, we went and got some new chairs from IKEA. We had the table, but no chairs. Alex and Aubrey think its great to hang out at their table and sit down.

(BTW, my sister asked me what we had done to Alex's hair. Alex's hair looks like it always does, the camera light must have caught it just right to make it look like we had cut it wrong.)

Saturday morning

This morning, we went into DC just for a little bit. We founds some lion cub statues and Alex and Aubrey thought they would check them out. This was the only picture where they are both looking forward....but Aubrey has a funny grin. : )



We checked out the Building Museum. Dave and Aubrey built this cool tower. Aubrey really concentrated the entire time.


Here, Alex is plowing the garbage truck through the big Legos.

We all had a great time hanging out this morning. However, we can't wait for warm weather so we can spend more time outside.

Shiloh and Stubby

Our family had another loss today. My sister, Kendra, had two wonderful dogs. Shiloh and Stubby. Last week, Shiloh (on left) had to be put to sleep due to advanced stage cancer. Then today, Stubby (on right) passed away unexpectedly due to a blood clot. We will all miss Kendra's dogs. Just yesterday, Alex saw a picture of Shiloh and said "Shiloh".



Our prayers go out to Kendra at this time.

Our prayers also go out to Andrea who was the best dog sitter around.

Museum Day

We decided to explore a museum today, so we made our way to an Air and Space Museum. Alex and Aubrey had fun and it was great for Dave and I because it got us out of the house. There weren't many people there, so that was nice. We didn't stay too long, but it was still nice.

Aubrey asked me to take this picture of her. She "posed" for it.

We went up to an observation tower at the museum. Alex was really scared that we were so high. In order for him to get to the edge, he had to crawl on the floor. After a while, he got used to being so high, but it took a while.

Shiloh

Shiloh (Kendra's Dog) was in this picture...but I had cropped her out when I posted this picture the first time . We took this picture back in December when we were celebrating our family Christmas in Michigan. Since Shiloh is no longer with us, I thought she really should have been included.

SUUUUPER POWERS

Alex likes his new red SUPER POWERS Cape. Nanny (Dave's Mom) made it for us. It is perfect!

I should also add that Alex is a huge fan of this Super Bowl commercial for Volkswagen. He made us rewind the TV and watch it 5 times. He likes that suuuuuper powers can start a car. : )

Gifts from Nanny

Nanny sent us a package in the mail and we got it on Saturday morning.

Tent From Grammie

On Tuesday morning, we got a great gift in the mail from Grammie. Just in time to give us something new to play with. She sent us a little kid's play tent. Alex and Aubrey love it. Just before this picture was taken, they were taking a "nap" in it.

Last weekend Aubrey wasn't feeling well so she spent a lot of time sleeping on the couch. We are glad to say that she is doing much better now. She is back to her old self.
