Cherry Blossoms with Marissa

Unfortunately, when we went to see the Cherry Blossoms with Andrea, Marissa was unable to join us because she had to work.  But, it gave us the chance to take another picnic and go again last Tuesday afternoon.  This time we went later in the evening.  The blossoms were still as beautiful as they were on Sunday, so it was nice to share them with Marissa.

We did a repeat of our trip on Sunday, but it was fun with a new person with us.
Here we are at our picnic dinner.

Aubrey, Marissa, and Alex at a stone on the FDR memorial.

A look over at the Jefferson Memorial through the cherry blossoms.

Hopefully Alex will be strong and stand for what he believes.

I have to say that the picture of Alex standing by Martin Luther King, Jr. brought a tear to my eye! Especially when I read "Hopefully Alex will be strong and stand for what he believes". I definitely hope for that too!

The rest of the pictures are great too! The one of Marissa and the kiddos by the stone is ABSOLUTELY adorable!
